British family was on board last Friday for an afternoon trip. We caught twelve big-sized Silver Grunt and returned the rest back to the sea, those 18cm and smaller.
I had Ilsa and her group last Saturday with me on board, six people in total. We were scheduled to leave at 6:00AM but the fog was to thick, I figured it'll be too dangerous if it's zero visibility. So I decided that we should wait. They were okay with it. I offered them coffee, and cold drinks, and sandwiches, and fishing stories to kill time. By 10:00AM the fog dispersed enough that it wouldn't be too risky. I brought them to my usual spots and we fished for siz hours, a combination of trolling and bottom fishing. We got breams, and lady fish, and sultan ibrahim. We also caught a huge hamour (grouper), kingfish, and cobia.
Robert and his father had a great time fishing last Jan 2nd. We mostly did bottom fishing, nothing serious since his dad just wants to relax. We left at 5:00AM in the morning, still abit ealy and chilly but it was the best time to catch fish. We caught plenty of breams! At one point we were about a catch a sizable barracuda, but then it slipped away when one of the guys was reeling it in. Robert also brought his friends and they had such a great time that they're already planning for the next trip, he said they're now 12 people wanting to come! of course I can't possibley fit on the boat (unless they want to sink!). So two more trips are happening for these guys.
Best part (and probably the most bittersweet) was when Robert said that this is probably the last fshing trip he'll have with his dad, and it meant a lot to him.
Had a trip with Andrey last Saturday afternoon, January 2nd. There were three of them on board. We caught three groupers and one barracuda via bottom fishing. Groupers are really in coming in this season. The weather was great the whole day. It wasn't chilly out there unlike the past few days. Glad to have another batch of guests happy.
I had two trips last Friday. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The morning trip went great. The guests were from Britain and we were out from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. They caught Sultan Ibrahim and Bream. They really enjoyed it.
The afternoon trip was the opposite. The guests were from Greece and unfortunately for them the fish didn't want to bite. We even transferred four to five fishing spots, but still with no luck. The guests were okay with it though. I just gave them fish to take home from the trip that morning.
You can never really tell with fishing.
We had a very good fishing trip last Sunday, November 1st. Guests were from Britain, there were five of them on board and they caught probably around twenty fish. There were Silvery Grunts and Queenfish more than eighteen centimeters big which they kept. The other smaller fish they returned back to the sea. Everyone had fun especially the kids.
